Blind Dates

Aaaah, the ever-popular, nerve wracking blind date. Why did Man ever create this? To torment us? To tease us? To taunt us? Probably all of the above. My friend decided it would be fun to have a group blind date with 7 couples. She made it perfectly clear that this blind date was not to find our soulmates--it was purely for friendship purposes. Needless to say, I was still hyperventilating as it got closer to the hour we would meet our dates. Which doesnt make sense: I knew who my date was going to be. I also kind of knew him--we"re actually Facebook friends. I knew I would do something stupid. Fortunately, I didnt do anything toooo stupid. I had fun. My date seemed like he had fun. And I think Ive found a new topic for my short story. ^_^ Yay blind dates!!
