I woke up this morning with the sun glaring at me. I knew it was going to be a good day. I got myself ready for work and classes and set off to find myself some adventures. I got to work at Spalding and we were learning about Greek mythology. This is absolutely one of my favorite subjects. I used to spend hours at my principal's house after school just reading his books on the Greek gods. I always wanted to be Artemis, the virgin goddess of the Hunt. She was beautiful and tough. Aphrodite was beautiful, but she wasn't a fighter. She was conniving and wicked.
After that first hour at work, I had to book it to class. I had gotten lost in Greek myths again and had completely forgotten about my 10:00 class. I got to class just in time for opening prayer. He asked me why I was late and I had to reply in spanish that I had forgotten I had class. I felt like such a freshman.
After class, I had to book it back to Spalding for another hour of work. This time it was a different class, same grade, though. We studied Greek mytholy again. I love my job.
I had one more class after that and I had forgotten that there was a paper due today. I only had an hour to type it out so I did the best I could in that hour and turned it in. We'll see what grade he deems fit to give me. I'm a bit nervous because I don't usually turn in something as rough as that. I've learned that drafts are the most beneficial thing out there for me, as a writer. Why I didn't realize this sooner, I honestly can't say.
That last class went by fairly quickly, maybe due in large part to the fact that I slept through it. I seriously hope I wasn't snoring. GASP! That would've been so mortifying!
I got home and realized that if I didn't do my laundry, I would not have very many clothes to choose from to wear the next day. Now, the state apartments don't have laundry machines, so I had to lug two huge rubbermaid bins two apartments over to do laundry. It was quite the workout. While doing laundry, I also cooked up some chicken soup for me and my roommate. It was very soothing for my allergies.
Unfortunately, I did not get to the piles of homework I had saved up for this afternoon. Instead, I left it for tonight, as I sit behind the front desk. I am happy to report that I have finished my homework, even the rought draft of my last advanced creative writing piece! How exciting. It's a great start to the last two weeks of my life.
